Workshops at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor
On Saturday March 16, 2013, the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry will present two workshops:
10:00-11:30 am : “Capturing Your Family’s Oral History,” presented by Dr. Donna DeBlasio, YSU History Dept., will help the participant plan and record oral history stories of family members and friends. Learn how to identify individuals with stories to share, frame questions, guide the conversation, and document your work. Consider how you continue the story, connecting Past to Future.
1:00-2:30 pm: “ Your Immigrant Ancestors,” presented by Dr. Donna DeBlasio and Dr. Martha Pallante, YSU History Dept., will look at the ethnic neighborhoods that shaped our community, and continue to do so decades later. How does your story fit into that of the larger community?
